The OdorFree Shock creates O3, or ozone, in a special process that utilizes an electrical current.
Ozone works by breaking down odors and other pollutants at their source. Thunderstorms create ozone or O3 and also from sunlight striking the earth’s atmosphere. As an example, we’ve all taken a walk after a thunderstorm and experienced the fresh smell in the air. That’s O3, or ozone, at work.
Normal oxygen (O2) is converted to O3, which is commonly called ozone. It reverts back to O2 in about an hour if the O3 is unused. This leaves the air fresh because the source of the odor has been permanently removed. And there are no artificial odors so the space becomes free of odors.
Ozone shock treatment is a powerful method of odor elimination.
- Outdoors, odors are eliminated using both UV light and O3.

To eliminate home odors, one or more Ozone shock treatment units are placed in the home for treatment while the space is unoccupied.
The amount of time is set depending on the severity of the odors. Cabinet and closet doors are opened and the area is vacated for treatment. O3 fills the entire home, contacting all surfaces, penetrating fabrics and oxidizing odors at their source.
The time for treatment will vary with the size of the house and how deeply entrenched the odors. So treatment may take as little as 2 or 3 hours for light odors, whereas heavy odors may take up to 8 hours.
Note: The fan on a furnace or A/C may be turned ON to help circulate the O3 throughout and remove odors that build up inside the ductwork. Once treatment is completed, there is no trace of the original odor and no deodorizer smells that simply mask odors, which many people find
objectionable. Occupants will enjoy a fresh smelling property, and this greatly adds to guest satisfaction.
